Bob is a life-long cyclist of more than 60 years standing; Life Member of Cycling UK (trading name of Cyclists’ Touring Club, CTC); Member (since retirement) of Sotonia Cycling Club; Chair of Southampton CTC for 18 years and Committee member for 38 years. He is also a Trustee of the Cycling History and Education Trust.
Bob is currently chair of the South Downs Local Access Forum having been on the Forum since the inception of the South Downs National Park in 2010 and for some years before that (from 2005) when the South Downs Joint Committee was preparing for National Park status.
