David was born and raised in the New Forest and moved back to the area in August 2022. He has experience of working for local authorities in the area of recreation, teaching in and managing the outdoor education department at a further education college and working as programme development manager for a national youth work charity. In 2013 David was diagnosed with a progressive muscle wasting condition. He has become a very keen photographer and enjoys getting out and about in the New Forest as much as he can on his mobility scooter.
